Reliable Multilayer Flasks for Cell Culture

Nest Scientific Biotechnology’s multilayer cell culture flasks are an innovative laboratory tool that offer greater surface area and cell yield compared to traditional single-layer flasks. The main advantage of multilayer flasks is their ability to provide more cell culture area while maintaining the same footprint and seeding density. This can increase the number of cells cultured per flask, leading to increased efficiency and production in the laboratory.

Application and practicality

Nest’s multilayer cell culture flasks are an excellent tool for scaling up existing laboratory protocols. Compatible with standard single-layer flask dimensions, multilayer flasks can be easily integrated into existing infrastructure and automated cell culture systems. You can use these flasks in a variety of applications, such as cell culture, biological production, research and other laboratory experiments.

FEATURES

  • Multi-layer construction: cell culture flasks are composed of several layers, in this case 5 layers. These layers allow simultaneous culture of cells in different levels, which increases culture capacity and yield.
  • Vent: The flasks have a vent that allows air to be exchanged between the external environment and the interior of the flask. This is important because cells need oxygen to grow and function properly. The vent provides adequate ventilation and maintains optimal conditions for the cultured cells.
  • Straight neck: The flasks have a straight neck for easy manipulation and culture sampling. The neck can be equipped with a Plug Seal or filter closure, allowing safe sampling or changing of the culture medium without risk of contamination.
  • Scalability: multilayer cell culture flasks are typically designed with scalability in mind. This means that they can be easily adapted to larger or smaller kennel sizes, depending on your needs. You can combine flasks into larger sets, creating what is known as a “flask set. multi-well systems that allow multiple cell lines to be cultured simultaneously.
  • Transparency: the flasks are made of a transparent material such as polystyrene, which allows the cells to be observed under the microscope without having to transfer them to another vessel. This makes it easier to monitor cell growth, assess cell morphology and observe the effects of experiments.
  • Hygienic: Cell culture flasks are disposable or can be easily disinfected and reused. This ensures hygienic breeding conditions and minimizes the risk of contamination.

SCOPE

  • Temperature range: room temperature
  • Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture (make sure the packaging is in good condition)

APPLICATIONS

  • Cell culture: Multilayer flasks are commonly used to culture different types of cells, such as animal cells, plant cells or microbial cells. By their design, they allow a controlled environment for cell growth and proliferation
  • Scientific research: Multilayer flasks are extremely useful for scientific research in cell biology. They provide the opportunity to analyze various factors affecting cell growth and function, such as nutrient concentration, pH, oxygen concentration and temperature.
  • Biological production: They are also used in production processes in biotechnology. They are used to produce biological substances such as recombinant proteins, antibiotics, growth factors or vaccines. The flasks provide a controlled environment in which cells can synthesize and secrete desired substances.
  • Drug Testing: Multilayer flasks are widely used in drug testing and toxicology. They make it possible to study the effects of various substances on cells under controlled conditions. The multilayer design allows simultaneous testing of different samples and drugs in a single experiment.
  • Tissue engineering: They are an important tool in the field of tissue engineering. They allow cells to be cultured under three-dimensional conditions, making it possible to create tissue composed of different cell types. This technology has applications in tissue regeneration, cell transplantation and research into new treatments.
