Dnase/Rnase and Pyrogen Free

Pyrogens, substances that can trigger the body’s immune responses, have also been eliminated from these tubes. As a result, you can be sure that the molecular reactions carried out are clean, undisturbed and do not generate false positive results.

  • DNase/RNase enzyme-free: To preserve the integrity and purity of the genetic material, it is crucial that the tubes are free of nuclease enzymes such as DNase and RNase that could degrade DNA or RNA.
  • Pyrogen-free: In the process of DNA or RNA amplification, the presence of pyrogens (substances that cause fever) can lead to false positive results or disruptions in the reaction. Therefore, it is important that the tubes are free of pyrogens.
  • Resistance to high and low temperatures: PCR and RT-qPCR tubes should be resistant to temperature cycling during amplification processes, as well as storage at low temperatures, e.g. in the freezer.
  • Chemical resistance: Tubes should be resistant to chemicals used in PCR and RT-qPCR reactions, such as polymerase enzymes, nucleotides, and reaction buffer.
  • Minimum UV light absorption: PCR and RT-qPCR tubes should have low UV light absorption to minimize UV light absorption, which can interfere with the fluorescent signals read during analysis.
